Respect for earning the position & taking it with Luke & his people. This is what I love about the UK guys these days. Far too many mfers are scared of taking a L or worried about getting max upside at some future date vs carpe dieming today regardless of success or failure.

I think Linares is gonna school the f#ck outta Luke doe & Linares is probably gonna be a -1000, -1200 favorite here.

Win or lose vs Broner this weekend thats the fight to make next for both guys I think. Would love to see that fight. I'd rather see that then Mikey vs Crawford or Linares vs anyone else in or around his weight.

I don't think there's anything wrong with linares facing his mandatory. This will be a high quality fight because Campbell is very good. He is a bit underrated since the mendy loss and I believe it was just a bad night. I still think linares wins this because he is proven world class. Linares by late stoppage.

If Mikey beats Broner, then I would much rather see Crawford vs. Garcia! I would pay to see that one! However, I don't see Arum letting that happen! Garcia vs. Linares is my second choice! I think that's a great fight too! What do think about Mikey Garcia vs. Omar Figueroa Jr. @ 140? That might be the most entertaining fight of among the 3?

I'd rather see Crawford get into play at 147. Seems past time for that to have gone down + I think Garcia needs to prove more/do more at 135 that'll only enhance his name + legacy in boxing. Doesn't seem destined to me like these guys should be fighting with where they need to be. If they fight it should be 3 or so years from now at 147 & that even seems like a longshot. And that doesn't even get into the whole Arum angle with making that fight which I'd agree with you on.

Mikey vs Omar. LOL oh sh^t bombs away there. Would be fun while it lasted. I think Mikey has a much higher boxing IQ & would get Omar eventually, inside 8 for sure (imo), probably inside 5. Definitely an entertaining, don't even gotta be a boxing fan to enjoy type fight whatever happens.

Plus thats a highly makeable fight with Mikey being aligned on the PBC side of the fence. With Linares perhaps being out of play, since Oscar is likely to want a more option oriented deal, that Mikely may or may not be ready to submit to, Mikey vs Omar could be a very reasonable fight to happen later this year or early next year.

I can imagine Mikey vs. Omar @ StubHub in Carson, CA! FOY candidate the day it gets signed! I'll wait to see how Mikey handles Broner @ 140 before I would make a prediction. I've been waiting for Omar to be be beaten for 2 years, and the boy just won't cease to amaze me!

Don't know if the guys mentioned are really valid contenders but Luke is a solid fighter and should hold up well vs Linares though I wouldn't expect him to win...

Oh yea definitely would be one of those rare cases when a a fight is a FOY contender before they even enter the ring.

Idk that how Mikey does vs Broner makes much difference in how Mikey does vs Omar. I think Broner presents different problems than Omar would. Unless you just think the weight could greatly impact the outcome of one or both of those fights. I'd bet against that, but it certainly could I guess.

I legit thought Omar was about to lose vs Guerrero for a minute there. I thought I blacked out or something there for a second that fight switched up so quick on me & I was surprised Guerrero was able to do as much as he did & then have it taken away lol. I think Omar is highly beatable, but when a guy gots that 0 they definitely don't like letting it go easy & Omar won't be bending over letting anyone just take his 0 thats safe to say.

And who doesn't like seeing two high level undefeated guys fighting whoever wins any damn way as far as Mikey vs Omar would go.

Good fight, Campbell has a solid chance although Linares is certainly the strong favourite. Certainly an interesting mandatory match-up.

Yeah, the weight concerns me, and I think Broner is a big test for Mikey, especially if he's thinking of going to 147, which is INSANE! Also, Omar hasn't made 140 in years! He has talked about going back down, but he hasn't fought below 147 since he beat Burns in May 2015. He fought Antonio DeMarco @ 151!
