Interesting....I like when people pay attention...I can see that.

Ward by KO or decision. RJJ never fought a great fighter in his prime.

Ward better than Tony and a young Hopkins.

Too smart, too gritty, too rugged. RJJ has a **** chin as well, just the bums he was fighting couldnt take advantage.

I don't want to disrespect Ward. He is P4P #1, and he has earned that spot fairly. That means he is something special.

But only someone with rocks in their head would pick him over Roy.

LOL! James Toney was in his prime, so was Bernard.

I dont agree. Tony maybe but Bernard was in his mid to late 20s but he wasnt the Executioner yet.

              Bernard was a late bloomer.

But the bigger point is Ward is better than both of them. Boxing fans are prone to nostalgia

This thread has made Wards day. Because Ward feels at least there is someone on planet who thinks its worthy of pondering and at least someone who is uncertain about outcome.

                RJJ stops him.

Roy wouldn't put up with Ward's illegal tactics. He'd give as good as he gets and then some. Roy is there to win and not there to get bullied by a cheater.

This would be a toss up.....50/50. Very harx to pick a winner. It would be like trying to pick a winner in pbf vs pea.

I respect your opinion, but I don't understand the logic.

Both of the guys at LHW have/had the exact same attributes as they had at SMW. The only difference, is that at LHW, they are/were obviously just slightly heavier.

If Andre couldn't have beaten Roy at SMW, how would he have beaten him at LHW?

What would have made the outcome any different?

Roy was just as fast at LHW, and Andre wasn't a bigger puncher etc.

What difference does it make that Roy never beat a better LHW than Kovalev?

Andre could beat Kovalev 5 times. But he'd still be facing Roy at LHW, which would have been a guy who he wouldn't have beaten at SMW.

It makes no sense. Roy would always have been the favourite at any weight, due to his freakish speed.
