Cotto should jump at the opportunity. He's dealing with a damaged fighter. Brook need a softball fight, he shouldn't calling out someone like Cotto.

The only way this fight happens is if Cotto beats Kamegai but looks like crap in doing so. If Cotto wins impressively, he'll go for more glory than what Brook - coming off of two bad losses - provides.

If Cotto loses to Kamegai, then he should definitely retire...but I think most people on this thread are writing Cotto off prematurely. He did not look like an old man against Canelo. Say what you will about cherry-picking, but Cotto's relative inactivity since losing to Trout slowed what to that point had been a rapid accumulation of wear and tear. My bet is that Cotto has something significant left in the tank, but he needs this fight against Kamegai to shake off the rust.

I think the Cotto who fought Canelo beats the best Brook any day.

Great fight at 154. Hope it gets done before Miguel hangs up the gloves.

I like this fight makes sense for both guys. First have to see how Cotto looks against Kamegai before i can pick a winner. Don't look past Kamegai who is iron chinned and hits like a mule. Cotto's age and long layoff is a major question mark if he get's suckered into a war that fight becomes very interesting.

Wait... Why is Brook considering himself elite again? Does he consider himself elite by beating Euro bums for 11 years, or by beating Porter, or by getting his face smashed in by GGG and Spence? This guy has one good win in his career and he is considered an elite fighter? Yet people on here call fighters who cleaned out a division and have more credible wins over opponents bums. I guess bu UK standards, he's an elite fighter.

If cotto is still solid in his upcoming fight, I don't think that's a good idea for brook.

Why would Cotto fight a guy coming from 2 losses ?
