He doesn't copy him as a boxer, but he's been copying him as a business man and playing the same games to a much lesser degree. Honestly, on his worst day I don't see him being as bad as Floyd when it comes to diva behavior, negotiations or his choice of opponents. He just stepped up big and is taking on a prime, dangerous MW and it didn't take 5+ years of excuses to make the fight.

Anyone who can't see this is either delusional or just doesn't know **** about boxing.

Folks see Canelo being defensively aware, effective with his footwork, and able to create his own offense from the catch-and-shoot, and they bug out.

I agree with you on him trying to emulate Mayweather as a businessman. He may not be as bad as Mayweather but he thinks he's more entitled. Atleast Mayweather earned it by having the top 3 PPVs. One of them involved Canelo but now he has to start generate huge numbers on his own.

Alot of boxers try to copy Mayweather's boxing style but it's not that easy. Canelo may incorporate some his defensive moves but it's a stretch to say he's copying Mayweather.

He doesn't copy Mayweather in any way. He believes in himself and his abilities and has no desire to copy anyone. I haven't read any posts saying he is coping Mayweather and I am on here a lot and read threads about Canelo since he is a favorite of mine. Some say other bad things about him but I haven't read them saying he copies Mayweather yet.

cause he was ducking like floyd always ducked. now that ggg looked human he is willing to fight him(floyd would have waited till ggg was ko'd so canelo is better in that regard) and im sure he will win because im sure he has assurances that the ref will let him do whatever he wants and the judges will give him the fight no matter what. standard boxing, and golden boy would be silly not to make sure he wins since canelo is 98 percent of their business.

Copies him as a business man? And thinks he's more entitled? That's a weak argument simply cause that's a automatic perk for a A side fighter. Canelo IS the money man so he gets to dictate simple as that.

Nelo did get more defensive since the Floyd fight & has been doing the shoulder-roll.

He does copy floyd. The only thing he doesnt copy from floyd is the lateral movement and different looks floyd give.

Also canelo copies floyd cuz floyd schooled him.
