Despite the huge gap in boxing experience, Bennett sees no reason that his commission should not sanction the fight.

“I don’t see why this fight would not be approvable, and at this point in time, I’m not going to tell you why it is approvable. I may articulate that information at the next commission meeting. But in my opinion, I see no reason why it’s not approvable," Bennett said..
Transparancy at it's finest. 10-1 that Bennett does NOT 'articulate that information (why it's approvable), at the NeXT commision meeting'.

Why are so-called boxing fans buying into this bullcrap?

Vegas approves mismatches like this all the time. Hell, we just saw Canelo/Khan.

If any of you in this thread were in the position of NSAC officials you would approve this fight as well. If not you would get fired because this fight will generate insane revenue for the Vegas business community-legal and not so legal.

I wouldn't approve. Imagine what would happen if Connor takes a frightful beating and dies. That would be my my responsibility and I'd have blood on my hands.

... I think that Conor would not wait in order to take a "frightful beating"... he would rather take a dive and just take the money...

Bat, I get you concern but you're lying to yourself and to us. This fight will be the single biggest revenue generator in Vegas this year.

First off, the wagering is expected to surpass the money bet on the Super Bowl. there is no way you would piss off the casinos and sportsbooks. Hotels will be priced at the maximum. There will be parties and concerts connected to the fight. Not to mention the money for small businesses, restaurants, the shopping,Parking, concessions.

I respect your position but you don't refuse to sanction an event that brings over a billion dollars in revenue.

I can assure you that I would. Now I don't consider my scenario for particularly likely given the fact that Mayweather isn't a huge puncher or a man normally dishing out severe beatings, but Again you have a great fighter squaring off against a debutant here so it's not out of the question (unless of course the fight is rigged ala a big show event).

Furthermore my approval would also set a precedent where future mismatches would be approved since this one was.

So if these arguments is Water on a ducks tail, my boss would have to fire me. I wouldn't care as I will have to look myself in the mirror every morning.

So it's a clear no from me.

Well, you make enough doing fantasy football so you will be ok. LOL.

I hear you but I can't see it. The pressure from the business community would be insane.

Canelo/Khan was nowhere near the mismatch on paper that this one is. Get real.
