I think AJ is pretty overrated. Not that I think Wilder is THAT much better. I give Wilder a pretty good shot at knocking his block off though.

Fighters who've sparred or fought Wilder admit that his style is very deceptive. He throws punches from angles that no other heavyweight can, and there's huge power behind them. He starts slowly, tricking his opponents into believing they've figured him out. They get overconfident, step into vulnerable positions, and that's when he bombs them.

James Ali Bashir doesn't seem to think he's that good and from what I saw against Washington and Szpilka he's not at all deceptive, he's easily outboxed to the point he looks like he's behind Pulev and Ortiz in terms of actual boxing skill. Dude should probably be ranked a place above Pulev though as he's still undefeated and has a win over Stiverne who is rate higher than Ustinov who is likely Pulev's best win, not that Stiverne is at all that good as he's only really defeated a past prime Arreola.

Wilder is wide open when he's windmilling, completely off balance, when throwing. He won't get past Ortiz likely why the fight won't even happen and he'll be rematching Stiverne anyway so it's moot.

Joshua is stiff but has solid boxing skills; he's patient and has killer instinct when needed, I was far from impressed by his winging and accuracy when the referee stopped the Klitschko fight but he didn't look as poor as Wilder when he has an opponent hurt, that Wilder vs Washington windmilling was hilarious he must embarsssed when shown that footage, I laugh my ass off every time I see it.
