This might be the biggest ppv of all time. More people will remember this than schooling Danny for 12 rounds

He's almost 41. When Floyd is 55 idiots will be talking about how he is ducking so and so because he won't come out of retirement at 55 years old to fight them.

Listen, he fought them all and beat them all. As far as prime, how long were guys even in their primes? A few years? Floyd has a top 5 all time resume, that's just a fact.

This is also a defining moment for boxing as a whole should Floyd do what we all expect him to , it's good for us .. Here's a guy that comes from mma and has everyone blinded and the wool pulled over their eyes, ok .. So they scream and call for floyds head cause mma was always the "better" sport. Remember Anderson was set to t arch Roy jones a lesson lol

This can only be good for boxing as everyone will get a lesson in sweet science as long as Floyd performs, they will go home saying "wow .. Boxing is no joke"

Casual mma fans seem to not even respect the standup element .. It's time they are forced to admit and see it for what it is

However, being the self proclaimed 'TBE', we are judging floyd at the highest of standards.

FLoyd had the chance to achieve something special, and use the 50th fight by coming out of 'retirement' and fighting a world class, dangerous opponent in there prime. This would have put the exclamation on an excellent career. This would have been something people would have talked about for many years, how he came out and beat the best active fighter. Further proof of mayweathers greatness.

However floyd picked the easy option, an even easier opponent than andre berto.

Hes chosen a fighter with a 0-0 boxing record and chosen to make a mockery of the sport, a slap in the face for many.

So perhaps this fight is a defining one, in the sense that rather than going with the hardest option and looking to really achieve greatness, hes gone for a soft touch in a joke/circus fight and undoubtedly chosen the easy option.

We can talk about mayweather being money orientated and hes picked the cash fight, but by calling himself 'the best ever' surely he does place an importance on legacy?

What do others think? Does this fight impact negatively on floyd and is it characteristic of a career where 'safety first' has been mayweathers mantra, both in his fighting style and choice of opponents?
You have a point, but right or wrong, Mayweather has always equated money into legacy and there's not one boxer today that can bring Floyd the purse that McGregor can.

Conor has skills as well as size and power. Don't underestimate him. I mostly box but I have tried judo and martial arts and training various martial arts do give you unique physical attribute.

                Example:

judo: By practicing judo, you will develop good muscle endurance. I practiced judo after boxing and I did spar and I had someone try to cheap shot me in clinch and I was able to take their balance push them aside. No complaint since he was just trying foul me.

Karate/Kickboxing/Kung Fu: Developing leg flexibility is very productive for a boxers footwork. Believe it or not, having dynamic flexibility in legs which constitutes kicking martial artist gives you quick feet. The late and great Hector Camacho was a sports Karate fighter.

Grappling: Ground grappling may not seem like it has ANYTHING to do with boxing but just like Judo and stand up grappling, you will have a solid muscle endurance. I grapple and I got super tired because I wasn't used to it.

Not saying Conor wins, just saying that martial arts training do make you formidable in terms of physical attributes.
