Comments Thread For: Garcia's Coach: Perfect Timing For Lomachenko Bout By Year End

While Mikey Garcia (36-0, 30 KOs) has stated that he plans to move back to lightweight after his junior welterweight encounter against Adrien Broner, which takes place this weekend at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, it really depends on the opportunities that exist in the 135-pound class. His brother and co-trainer, Robert Garcia, told BoxingScene.com:

Loma won't be taking the Mikey fight anytime soon. Team Loma is all talk when it comes to fighting top fighters and always come up with everyone is ducking him talk. Loma will be fighting a top Rank fighter in Beltran next. Loma and his team won't even fight the other champions in his division because they're not Top Rank fighters and are still chasing Salido.

Mikey should worry about pudgy Broner not Lomo or Crawfish

Little Mikey might find the Brone way too much to handle Saturday nite. Lomo is a better test even over Crawdaddy. Can Mikey beat Broner is even a stretch if Brone comes in at 160lbs. Planning ahead is just ****** for little Mikey.

Cool. Loma can fight Mikey, Berchelt or Rigo then. No need for more garbage fights.

starting to get annoyed by team garcia being so vocal now. they'll only fight manny at 147 but if no manny fight then they will prolly go back down to 135. they know loma is too small for mikey so they're now calling for that fight, they know pac is done so now they're calling for this fight but the winner of crawford/indongo, they would "consider" it. bunch of frauds, im rooting for broner to spark mikey out and put a detour on the dream his team has built up for him.

Man you better stay focused! All these outside distractions could backfire if he's not careful. Broner is very hungry, determined and focused on this fight. It's the most I've seen him this intense in a long time. So Mikey better be ready because Adrien is not coming to lay down. He's coming to win.

Loma is a bum who was exposed by a gritty fighter in Salido and now wants to take revenge against an old Salido who hasn't won a fight in 3 years and who looked terrible in his recent outing. Shows you how Loma thinks.

On the other hand Mikey is going to be KO'd stiff by Broner.

Relax. Lol. Now people are frauds because they'd rather fight Lomachenko (in their own division) or jump at a shot at Pac?

Mikey is a 35er and Loma wants to move up to fight him...what's your issue with that? Of course he'd fight Pac at 47..it's a big check...kind of like how ANYONE at ANY weight class would fight Floyd..Besides that, they've discussed the Pac fight for years now if I recall. Pac is also closer to 40 than 54 size wise...Mikey has said he was moving back down after this...if no Pac fight what's keeping him away from his weight class? Crawford would be a nice fight but no 35er is jumping at the thought of fighting Crawford's huge self when there are big fights at your own weight class. Crawford is too good to wing a decision like that. Let's see how he handles a less skilled 140 pounder in Broner first. For all we know Broner stops him lol.

he's picking the choices of opponents is what i dont like. he'll go to 147 for pac only but disregard anyone else in that division. then he said he'll fight loma at 135 knowing loma will be the smaller guy moving up. he wants all the advantage but he hasnt done shiiet to be calling the shots. team gracia has been very vocal as of late of who they want mikey to fight next, totally over looking broner.
