Exactly. These are face value tickets straight from Ticketmaster.

Scalpers are already lowering their prices in the secondary market and those tons of eBay sales that ended without any bids.

Ticketmasters themselves are scalpers.

Basically what happens with 90% of events these days, whether it be sports or music, is that the management/promoter sells the available tickets at a particular price to third parties such as Ticketmaster (ever wondered why stadiums don't sell tickets direct all that often?) who then want to make a profit on having bought those tickets, so increase the price to ridiculous amounts.

In fact, after a BBC investigative journalist blew the lid on this, a number of music companies in the UK and artists themselevs were in investigated by the police. Sadly, as we know, if you're rich you can get away with daylight robbery so I'm not sure if anyone was ever punished for it.
