Cool. He's young and as "Hous" has said, it is a learning experience. If his trainers and management guide him right, he'll be better for it in the long run. A fighter can't help but learn something from a fight like that....once they get past the loss.

my boy Tomasz Adamek went into the briggs fight with a broken NOSE. even with a broken nose, he took some heavy as hell shots and didnt go down, and briggs aint no feather fisted fighter either.

maybe its the way he tapes his hands, or maybe he hits too hard, or whatever. the lacy injury: i didnt believe that. this injury: i believe it... to a certain extent.

the nose is one of the worst places to get punched. it is also one of the most frequent landing spots for oposing punches. anybody who gets punched straight in the nose will automatically get watery eyes. now, adamek went INTO the fight with a broken nose against one of the hardest hitters in the LHW division today paul briggs. adamek soaked up the punches, never went down, went the 12 round distance and won the fight.

to compare a broken nose and a broken hand, adamek worked thru the pain, survived, and won. but you have only one nose and its the only one you can get hit on. you have two hands, and quality fighters can win great fights with only one good hand. they work thru the pain OR use their other hand as much as they can.

getting hit on the broken nose hurts. punching with a broken hand hurts. but you dont have to use the broken hand, you can use the other hand and still win. you have to go ahead with a broken nose, but calzaghe does have another hand he can box with.

Every time that Joey the Phony Calzone is faced with a major challenge, he backs out of a fight....

he has done this THREE TIMES NOW with Glen Johnson, once with Roy Jones, and he delayed the lacy fight on at least 3 occasions, a guy he should have never been scared of in the 1st place....

if Calzone had the heart that matched his ring skills, he'd be #1 pound-for-pound, too bad he's mentally soft

Where was this fight Joe pulled out of going to take place?

Maybe this is not so bad after all...Joe can rest up and watch Tarver vs. Hopkins on the 10th.

If Tarver looks impressive or **** it, if Tarver just wins dont we all want to see Tarver vs. Calzaghe...right?

This injury may give us our wish much sooner then we expected.

Sure Johnson vs. Calzaghe would have been fun too watch but Tarver vs. Calzaghe is a bonafide SUPER fight...again maybe the hand injury is not so bad after all.
