There won't be no moving, there won't be no running - according to Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26 KOs). The former five division world champion claims that he's planning to fight "toe to toe" with UFC superstar Conor McGregor on August 26th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Mayweather, now 40 years old, is breaking a two-year retirement. He walked away from boxing in September of 2015, after dominating Andre Berto over twelve rounds at Las Vegas' MGM Grand.

Lmao, all this buildup is making me laugh. I don't think they even need to build the fight up to sell, but whatever.

It sounds like he's psyching himself up. It must be hard to get motivation for him.

"We just saw a week ago, two weeks ago, a guy who started boxing at 18, a teacher, beat one of the best fighters of all time, which was Manny Pacquiao, so anything can happen in a combat sport.”

Floyd using Manny Pacquiao loss to sell his overmatched opponent fight lol

also how did Floyd said he didnt know who jeff horn is, yet he knew Horn started boxing at 18 and was a school teacher? if he knew all that he knew Jeff Horn also made the Olympic team and went as far as Errol Spence just falling short, and has a boxing pedigree with 9 years experience. more Bs lies from Floyd, cant stand when he does that pretends to not know guys

Conor has ZERO pro boxing bouts, he is doing a cram exam in 6 weeks, Floyd wipes Conor with ease.

He's just selling tickets.... He's not gonna let McGregor throw more than half a punch before he moves to a different zip code

Would be cool if what Floyd has been saying is true as far as being a shell of his former self. Would make this a lot more interesting.

But honestly Floyd knows as well as anyone in boxing that this was a POS move to boxing. Sure I'm happy this fight is happening, just cause of the spectacle. Also because it will be possibly good for boxing to have this baddest man on the planet type to get schooled in front of a massive casual ufc fight crowd. The simple truth is Conor has no business in a boxing ring with elite boxers. Let alone Mr. "TBE". Boxing as a sport has been in shambles. GGG vs Canelo was a good start to reshaping a new era. Well it was prior to Floyd taking this fight. I don't blame guys like Thurman and others who consider this another cashout for Floyd to line his pockets. It's a danger to the vitality of boxing if more guys take the perspective of being a "bank robber" like Floyd, where you basically are in it for swindling money from the sports viewership and promoters

We should all be excited now. If you were on the fence about ordering this high quality event, than this Information should confirm the fact that you should not hesitate. Rumor has It that If Conner wins there Is a clause In the contract that Mcgregor must teach Floyd how to read.
