If you think a sports figure doesn't have an obligation to be a good role model for the kids... YOU are what's wrong with this nation.

    PTI.....

1st quote) plenty of our grandparents or even parents didnt make it to high school. decided they had to work to help the family. some priorities are immediate, others can wait. regardless, at the end of the day, when its all said and done.....none of gaf prior to shltty cents making it a twitter fodder. NOW its ''damn, may is dumb.''

your quote) if a young person is seeking role models, have them look at their parents/family/teacher/church elder. its ******ed and unfair to expect a COMPLETE STRANGER to live a certain way. wtf, ''the only role model i have (who never met me, spoke to me or know i exist) is in jail..........what am i going to do now (more ) ????? guess ill just have to be a 'going to jail loser' too.....''

parents are the only ones who are obligated, but passing the buck and blame is the way to go

Seems to me it bothers him that he can't read. Most people would just ignore it but when you bring it up it bothers you

Floyd came from nothing and now he is a billionaire, i personally do not like him and would never pay for one of his fights just to see him running, but he is a boxing genius and a very good salesman. Who cares about writing when you can trick gullible people into paying you 100$ to see you running )) you are just haters. Btw, he can read and write.

For example one of our cases in a strategy course was about a rock band (can't remember the name) that made 100s of millions taking an independent approach to touring, selling merch, and distributing music.

Considering Mayweather's outsized financial performance as a boxer (especially without endorsements). It's not far fetched that someone will write up a case study on his career.
                I stand corrected. Thanks.

Obviously adults should be good parents, but sports celebrities serve a good purpose as well. GF has a nephew who always was an A Rod fan, always looked up to him. Kid was on a Natl championship LL team, and is always positive. And that's just one example. Can't tell me sports figures shouldn't be/ always strive to be good role models. That doesn't wash. Never will.

BTW, is there some meaning to the pic on your page?

I would take that and his millions, and swap it for my degree life which has left me in debt and hasn't even made me £500k yet.

He made a lot of money too, until he lost it all. I wouldn't put it past Floyd to squander most of what he's earned, what with the lifestyle he has.
but floyd is not Mike. and floyd has good people around him. he still has the 100million dollar check from the pac fight. if he were some type of loose cannon with his financials he would have had to cash that check to pay his crew. to his credit floyd has done pretty well for himself and he is set up for life after boxing.
