Yeah but this stands out "And at times, especially when I'm with some of my wife's corporate colleagues, I wish I spoke a little better." you are at least aware that there is more and i'm sure given the right circumstances and the freedom of time to choose how to spend your days you'd work on it. Man to man, I respect your honesty. It's probably the most honest thing I have ever seen posted on a boxing site. Keep on grinding brother.

Lets hope he has paid at least $300 million in taxes.

I hate tax dodgers, they are stealing from the country and the people.

Wlad has Bachelor of Arts / Science, Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky Pedagogical Institute; Doctorate, Kiev State University that is AMAZING for a guy who is a pro boxer and made a TON OF MONEY as a boxer.

Juan Manuel Marques another that man has a Accounting Degree!

Recently Joshua Buatsi just finished up his degree before turning pro!

So every Path is different, what worked for Mayweather won't work for everybody so no his way is not the blue print and no not everybody should drop out of high school to pursue their dream!
I agree, it would never have been my path. Hell, boxing would have never been my plan.

You broke it down perfectly why Floyd makes so much more than all the other fighters and how he did it. Yet all these idiots still think he's going to go broke, even though he's worth $500 million and has about 10 companies outside of his boxing income. It's clear they either can't comprehend simple information or are just trolling because they have nothing better to do. You don't become the highest paid athlete in the world unless you're a genius and you can't compare him to other boxers who had no Plan B. Plus Tyson, De La Hoya etc abused drugs after boxing.

I'll send you some Green K when I can. Great post.
Appreciate the compliments! It's crazy that someone would compare Floyd Mayweather to a guy (Tyson) who admits that Don King was charging him 8K per week for towels!

A lot of it is the environment you're in. I sound like most of the people where I live. I also sound a lot like the people I work with. My wife has a slight accent. But she works in an office. I'm sure "how y'all doing this morning" isn't very common around there. I am what I am. And often times, I make more money than some of the people that may look at me sideways because of the way I speak. That's why it doesn't necessarily bother me. I'm sure Floyd feels the same way. But it does feel awkward when around folks that aren't necessarily my peers. But I'd imagine Floyd is probably a little too arrogant to admit even that.

What an idiotic statement. There are 350 million people in this country and 25 percent of them cannot read of write. Some of them are elderly people who never had the opportunity to learn to read and write due to the economic circumstances of their family when they were children. My grandfather, who is deceased now, was one of them. He was born to poor sharecroppers at the turn of the century. He never went to school.

Most of them (90 percent), like Mayweather, had learning deficiencies that were never caught or addressed by an education system that only cares about providing its citizens with a bare minimum education.

I am sure that every one of these people would like to be able to read and write. For you to make an ignorant comment like the one you made shows just how insensitive and ****** you really are.

Since we're talking about reading and spelling the IRS has a lien on Mayweather. Just saying...

This is Floyd's huge insecurity talking. The Harvard connotation is grabbing at straws and has nothing to do his lack of reading and writing skills. What Floyd should have done was taken a class in mastering reading and writing and then show a certificate from a class - that's how you shut those critics up cause they could no longer say he cannot read and write if he took a class and proved he could. Critics would be nullified. But instead he uses a really bad simile which makes things look even worse.
