Comments Thread For: Frank Warren: Mayweather, McGregor - Big Talk, Will They Deliver?

The Mayweather-McGregor roadshow rocked into London last week for the final leg of a media tour that, if nothing else, has got people talking. It was purely pantomime at times and the pair came out with everything you might have expected them to say. Up to now the build-up has been a combination of boxing, UFC and WWE.

Nothing more than a money fight. Will I pay for it? No. But will I watch it? Sure, It's a spectacle nonetheless. It's crazy how some people are actually buying into the hype. The press conferences were entertaining but don't forget it's Mayweather vs a novice (0-0) boxer. I give McGregor a punchers chance but as far as making it a compelling, competitive match up, I don't see it happening. If Guys like Maidana, Berto, Marquez, Pacquiao couldn't do it what makes people think a novice boxer can do it? Granted some of those fight circumstances favored Mayweather, but I still don't see McGregor pulling off the upset unless he scores a knockout. I hope he does, but I wouldn't bet my house on it lol

They are delivering now, entertainment and we are all playing along. Floyd's age keeps coming up, he has stood up to some good punches from good boxers but he has never taken much punishment in the ring. Abuse in the ring makes a fighter old, Floyd is a young 40 and the only real abuse has came from Floyd Sr. Will they deliver in the ring to boxing fans standards, probably not but this was a well rounded article with some real boxing truths.

If McGregor hurts Mayweather early in the fight then we have a Rocky movie scenario. Curiosity is the sheer attraction of the fight.

McGregor has as much chance of hurting Mayweather as Mayweather does if he stepped in the octagon with McGregor but because there both incredible trash talkers and salesmen we're gonna tune in anyways.

              Sold.

No, they wont. I will probably regret streaming this fiasco instead of watching cars drive by
