mantecas medina....age finally caught up to him

medina was ahead on the score cards, it was a typical medinia domination fight, in and out, scoring round after round, his opponet trying to hit what wasn't their.

then in the tenth round medina legs start to give and he doesn't have the bounce in his legs no more, round eleventh was worse when now he could no longer retreat after taking his opponets shots, his legs give out and he falls gets up, trys again, and trying again but his legs give out again and ref waives the fight over.

you can literlly see medinas legs go in the fight, his legs were no longer as strong as they were when it was the first round. 4 time champion manuel mantecas medina great career for a fighter who was an underdog for many of his fights.

medina needs to give out his neutrition advice cause the man is over 30 and still competing with these youngsters, much like in the same fashion hopkins is and as daniel zaregoza did, being in the lighter weights you have to be more active and medina in prime form has always been one throw lots of punchs and even into late of his career.

hopefully he retires and lives the good life. i didn't mind seeing him fight even after he beat alejandro gonzalez but its time for him to retire, after a great career.

true, but what im saying is the man knows how to win. he was winning the whole fight, he had bounce through the first 9 rounds then bam! he hit a wall in round 10 and not by a punch but his legs were starting to give he didn't have the bounce. then round 11, no bounce his opponet landed some shots and went down and on the third knockdownt the ref waived the fight.

he got his shot by beating other top contenders, younger contenders so that says somthing about him as a fighter especially at this age. he was never the elite fighter but he always found a way to win, age caught up to him he can no longer win with his activity cause his legs can hold up for 12 rounds anymore.

i don't know which fight you were watching, the african took tons of shots from medina and throw maybe 13 shots each round, if you seen the fight you can clearly tell medina ran out of gas and his legs gave out, then the african took advantage of the situation.

who doesn't make predictions and once in a blue moon they predict correct, ****...before castillo v. corrales II, castillo said even betted gary shaw 100 hundred grand that he will knock out corrales before the 6 round and did so, yet shaw didn't want to pay up.

and i got the fight on my computer, so that african got lucky medinas age finally caught up to him or else it'd be an easy win for medina.

Medina is a very good fighter and has a good career, he just doesn't know when to quit as what has happened to a lot of fighters.

He's got to reire now and live a happy life out of the ring.
