He doesn't have a choice. Making weight is tougher than Mikey Garcia. Getting in the ring with Garcia is the way part. Killing himself to make a weight he's clearly outgrown is the hard part.
I think he will be drained and worn out from making the weight that mikey will just finish him off in the ring. All broner has been doing is losing weight the past month and hes already at 144 with 8 days left.
Gotta respek someone like Robert Guerrero and what he did, even though he wasn't as good as Mikey. He went up from 135 to 147 to fight Aydin and Berto and won, I think he was underdog in both, or at least against Berto. Mikey is favored to beat Broner, it's seen as an easier fight than Berto was for Guerrero (which was seen as hard). Mikey should've given Broner no opportunities for excuses and fight him at 147. Now with Broner struggling like this the fight is going to lose a little bit of intrigue for people who thought Broner's power and chin would make his lack of skills interesting. Now it's more likely that a weak Broner will appear. I'm not as excited anymore. It should be an easier outcome than I predicted, i''l still watch just in case something crazy happens.

I'm still rooting for Broner, but what did I miss?
Isn't Broner the one who dictated the weight,
being the A-side in the fight?

crawford is still at 140 so maybe mikey sees opportunities at 140 for fights and wants to go there instead of straight to 147. so I dont really fault him for that

I think Guerrero was doing that because he was chasing a fight against Floyd. Mikey still wants to keep his options open to unify at 135 and, he also wants to win a title at 140. Different goals, so I can't blame Mikey for sticking to 140 as of now.
