Could be fun. If carson comes in shape like he was in first Brook fight, Margarito will be in trouble.
I guess it will be at 160 or 154?

Cotto said he wouldn't fight him a third time as he didn't deserve the pay. Cotto definitely had a better career than your boy Margarito and Margarito's career will always be tainted by the plaster/wraps controversy.

Now with Cotto if you are a boxing aficionado you will have no problem admitting the fact that Cotto's career has been a farce. Clottey and Mosley beat him but got gifts from the corrupt judges. Cotto won vacant titles and at times against handicapped opposition. He never fought a legitimate champion or formidable ranked contender. The moment he did he got destroyed by all. I will admit he gave Canelo a hell of a fight and that's about it. Cotto thought that facing Trout would be one of those cherry picking fights in his favor, but that time he miscalculated the possible advantage. The outcome, Trout schooled him. Bottom line Cotto decided to fight Margarito on a rematch because of the beating he had received at the hands of Pacquiao. After the Pacquiao fight Margarito was done. Prior to that Margarito had called him out on the rematch to prove Cotto's cry-baby theory as to why Margarito had whooped his ass!!!! Cotto declined with a passion. That was my point sir, Cotto is a pseudo champ in the history books. Of course, if you're Puerto Rican, you are very passionate about boxing, to the point of been blinded by the truth even if it spits in your face. Rican's problem is precisely that, too much support for your country men, even when you know promoters are marketing and selling you fake product!!!! Thank you sir, dwell on that for substance in my response!!!
I disagree with you on the Mosley fight (as I recall, even Mosley admitted defeat in the post-fight interview...didn't complain about it until months later) I think you are a bit closer to the mark on Clottey (though I think Clottey screwed himself by taking his foot of the gas in the championship rounds).
I also think that if you look back at the chronology of Cotto v. Margarito II, you'll see that many variables changed between Cotto saying that he would never let Margarito make a cent off his name ... and deciding to fight him again. I'm not going to spell all of them out here. But sure . . . one factor could have been the beating Pacquiao put on Margs (of course, Pac put a beating on Cotto too...so they were both dealing with post-Manny trauma, Cotto just dealt with it better). But, as I said before, money and revenge were also major considerations. If you don't think so, then I'm not going to try to convince you.
A true boxing aficionado would not be so quick to use words like "farce" when discussing those who bleed and break for a living. More respect is in order.
