So Pulev's manager says that Pulev is supposed to be next... Ortiz's manager says that he is supposed to be next. One of them is talking out of their ass... my vote for that is Ortiz's manager considering the IBF have explicitly stated that Joshua v Pulev has to be next or after Klitschko fight. Joshua cannot be mandated to fight both of them next and it's the IBF that have said that Pulev is next.
Mandatories really are just an absolute mess.
Beyond that... didn't Ortiz's camp say only a day or two ago that Wilder is just using his name and has no interest in fighting him?!
This whole thing is dumb. Wilder vs Ortiz will never get made because Stiverne (who has the mandatory position) will never let it happen. Plus, if it were to somehow go through, Ortiz would get popped for steroids or Wilder would get injured again I'm sure of it. And for Ortiz to say that AJ is scared but Wilder is not is laughable because Wilder hasn't fought 1 guy within the top 25 since he got the belt while AJ just fought the guy who reigned for ten years. These guys keep calling AJ out because they want that payday. And I get that. But don't believe the hype when they say that AJ or that he won't fight them. But again, mark my words, this Ortiz vs Wilder fight will NOT happen hahahah
Wilder has already declined Ortiz and pretty much stated he would never fight him not long ago due to ped use . Joshua was never in position to fight him yet ,and wont be till at least 2019 or late 2018 should Klitchko and Pulev fights dont happen this year . Ppl are just ****** all around the board i guess?
Joshua has only held the WBA title for just over 2 months.. Hes’ held the IBF for way longer so after the Vlad rematch I expect him to fight IBF mando first then fight the WBA. He can’t fight everyone at the same time.
AJ is the golden ticked.. they all want the AJ payout. I just hope the other guys don’t stop fighting each other in case they lose and don’t get a get the AJ Ortiz v Wilder happens.. I doubt it but we’ll have to wait and see.
laughable that so called fans who are meant to be knowledgeable about the sport are still calling fighters scared
their handlers try to make their fighter and themselves the most money possible, so they go after the biggest money fights
biggest money fight is for aj is fury but hes inactive so its a wlad rematch so thats the fight he will go for
biggest money fight for ortiz is aj so thats the fight they will want
stop ignoring the way boxing works
the ignorance is embarrassing
Everyone gets that man, its just that Team Ortiz is finally coming to the realization that Ortiz will never get a shot at AJ before he starts collecting whatever Cuba's version of Social Security is. And if he beats Wilder, his AJ shot becomes much more likely
Lol VADA coming through again for Wilder to keep Stiverne away. At least this time it could result in a good fight happening, instead of a good fight getting canceled, but it's still a su****ious pattern.
They have no control over a fighter missing a test.
Joshua just beat best of the bunch is his last fight ortiz laboured wins v allen an scott both bums hardly in a postion to name call wilder win on points then the end up this fat juice bombs name aj is the king of division until hes beaten
"Rob McCracken, who trains Joshua, said Klitschko's age was the main reason behind his team's decision to accept the fight."
They didnt choose Wlad because he was the best...they chose him because hes old and on the slide.
Ain't ironic that Ortiz is being hated on all of sudden and people claiming that he's not a big name and there's no money in fighting him. Yet when he was fighting under GB, everyone praised him and claimed he was being ducked and deserved titles fights. People kept naming Ortiz as a fighter Wilder should fight, a fighter Wilder fighter was ducking, yet failed to realize at that time that Ortiz was an interim WBA champ and was chasing a fight for the WBA title and was never ranked in the WBC cause of it. Now that he's been Joshua's mandatory, nobody wants to see Joshua fight him
Ortiz manager wishes AJ would throw them a bone.... would make much more $ fighting AJ in front of 90k than fighting Bum-Squad - the most unpopular multi-year HW US Champ Ever - in a Barn in Hicksville, Alabama!!
Its not a matter of Joshua and Hearn throwing Ortiz a bone, Ortiz is the mandatory and Joshua needs to fight him next.
