  • Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Breaks Down Billy Joe Saunders vs. Willie Monroe

As he is so adept at doing when he gets the opportunity to lock eyes on a forthcoming opponent, Billy Joe Saunders went straight for the jugular when he was introduced to Willie Monroe Jnr ahead of their WBO world middleweight title fight at the Copper Box on September 16.

High threat level? Monroe doesn't have punching power and unless he definitively outboxes BJS, there is no way in hell he is getting a decision in the UK over BJS. He needs to knock BJS out and considering Monroe's punching power, that isn't very likely. This isn't a high threat level at all. If he would have fought Jacobs, then you could say that, but we all know BJS didn't want that problem...

im not counting out Monroe, he's slick and he has some pop when he sits down on his punches (which is rare)

Thank you. Thank you. I'll be here all day. LOL

I'm probably going to an Italian restaurant for dinner, by the way. LOL.

I hate Saunders and hope that Monroe will beat him, but I'm not holding my breath. Saunders will probably be more active over 12 rounds and come away with a pretty wide decision. If he comes out like he did in his last fight where he obviously didn't train and looked like garbage then Monroe will probably beat him, but this is a live opponent so Saunders will probably take him seriously.

Hey, it's another Frank Warren love letter to boxing or to Whom it may concern.

I'm actually looking foward to this fight. I wish the U.S. had a particular TV network that showed all of the U.K. fights.

The U.K. shows all of the U.S. fights, now the U.S. should be showing U.K. fights since U.K. boxing is hot in the sport right now.
