If he were telling the truth Mayweather would not hold all the PPV records, that says people are buying his fights more than they buy any other fighters fights.

If he wasn't doing something right he would not be the biggest star in boxing. Everybody understands the all out war fights but they don't seem to sell as much as a Mayweather fight.

Now if money and paying customers talks, then Oscar got out voted by a landslide.

And yes Canel vs GGG is the real fight and its a shame its taking 2nd place to the circus that's just the way it is.

Both fights will do well on ppv imo, the mayweather will obviously break records, but I don't think it will affect canelo/GGG too much.

I mean haye/bellew fought and then a month later AJ fought Wlad and both still did massive numbers

Aslong as the canelo undercard is strong it should do well.

“People don’t want to see fighters run, to see you win a 12-round decision by out-slicking [the opponent]. People pay their hard-earned money to be entertained, not by dancing around and not being hit. They pay for what Golovkin calls ‘the Big Drama Show.’” - Oscar De La Hoya

Well Oscar, thus far, a whole hell of a lot of more people have paid to see to see Floyd dancing around the ring, than they have paid to see "the big drama show!" Let's see whose PPV numbers will be higher, Mayweather vs. McGregor, or GGG vs. Canelo!

Was this part of the "blueprint"
People pay their hard earned money for what they want to see. And correct me if im wrong, but doesnt floyd hold 4 out 5 of the top PPV's spots.
Did Jermaine Taylor fight that way
side note: I was in elpaso, tx less than a mile away from Juarez, and they believed YOU RAN to the finish line like an actual race vs Trinidad, but were happy you won (which more important in a sporting contest) WINNING Jermaine Taylor stood there and took hellacious shots to the dome, for the "fans", now look at him, plus if that was true, wouldnt one of those boxers have took the PPV mantle? Fact: He beat you at your preferred weight (Floyd moved up to your weight class, your preferred rules, and Your prefered Gloves, and took Cinco De Mayo :smileysex

Why everyone are stressing out ? the guy is a promoter , its is job to make other fights less appealing and his fight the more appealing , you guys take everything at face value like little kids , like Oscar gives a ***** about running or drama shows or 12 rounds or 1 round KO or what not , he is all about the money (As he should in his position).
If Canelo was a "slick" boxer he would say "no one wants to see 2 apes punching each other in the head until one falls , thats not the sweet science" , its embarrassing to see you guys try and counter his argument........

well, in reality, the Canelo-Golovkin fight is a Fight.

The other thing is a f circus.

Foyd holds the record for most PPV fights sold more than Oscar, more than Tyson more than Holyfield, more than Gatti so Oscar has no clue what people want to see.

You'll notice that Mayweather doesn't have to say anything about DLH because he beat him in and out of the ring.
