Comments Thread For: Skeete: I Predicted Pacquiao's Demise, Horn is Made For Me!

Jeff Horn's giantkilling act to annex the WBO welter crown from Manny Pacquiao in Brisbane earlier this month provided Bradley Skeete with a timely boost ahead of his British title defence against Dale Evans. Already listed third in the sanctioning body's rankings, Super' Skeete is confident a world challenge is imminent after he saw off Evans at the Copper Box Arena and here he explains to Glynn Evans why the unbeaten Aussie should expect his reign on the throne to be a short one.

You're pretty weak when Skeete is calling you out

Skeete speaks very well about the sport.

He's right as well he did respectfully say that Pacquaio could lose.

He always seems to say something positive about rivals as well. Just seems like his mother raised him well.

        Well done Mrs Skeete.

I think he could beat Horn. Obviously the big dogs would be too much. Shaun Porter being the best style match-up for him.

I think Skeete would be pretty weak in comparison to Horn and Porter and he'd have a tough time keeping them off him

I like Skeete but I don't see how he deserves a title shot right now. Let him have an eliminator or two with the likes of Matthysse, Peterson or Vargas first. Thurman or Spence should get first dibs on Horn or else we'll just end up with another division where the WBO is basically a parallel league. And honestly I think it's time that the fans and media retracted the WBO's status as one of the "big four", even though they have a few good titlists mixed in there. They are so clearly beholden to Arum and Warren that it's not funny

Jeff Horn stops Skeete inside of 10 rounds.

Yeah physically he just seems ungainly but I think the Egg would have smashed him if he was a weakling but I appreciate Porter is as strong as a bull.

Yeah I bet Yarde is a WBO Titlist by the end of 2018

The thing is, Eggington himself needs a bit of space to get off, which plays right into Skeete's hands. Porter would bullrush right into his chest and I don't think he could deal with that

I still prefer Egg out of the two.

That said he genuinely got buzzed by Malignaggi which makes me think the top guys would send him to the moon. I just like his story.

Yeah I like him a lot too, he has genuinely come on leaps and bounds in the last year or so. It's cool to see a fighter grow before your eyes like that. The British welterweight division isn't too stacked right now, especially compared to the one below it, so I'd like to see him move up and then we could have Egg vs Cheese, with The Pig waiting in the wings for the winner. It's just a shame Joe Ham is too small to get involved
