    5 Random Thoughts

Just 5 things off the dome, you guys can respond by the numbers if you want.

1-Right now we are in Boxing Heaven. Isnt it great? It seems like every week there are big fights happening and while these next few weeks of Heaven go buy, there should be even more big fights made. Boxing's on a great run right now.

2-There's alot of seemingly good young prospects out there and a good share of them are at 147. How bout Williams-Martyse last week, and add to that Julio and Mesquita. Can someone tell me anything about Mesquita? I see that he just won that NABC 147 pound title in a 1st round KO and he is 32-0 with 26 KO's and he's calling all the big names out right now. Has anyone seen him?

3-Look at all the young guys I just named and add to that Mayweather, Margarito, Hatton, and soon to be guys like Cotto and Castillo. 147 could be a very special divison very soon.

4-Im starting to think more and more that Cotto's in trouble. Cotto is the most cooliest, calmiest person in the sport and has maintained it all the way through but now he has finaly started to talk trash back to Paulie. In almost every sport, how many times have we seen where a guy gets in somone's head and causes them to play differently and look bad? Seeing that Cotto is now talking that way easily means that Paulie has got into his head. Paulie's been waiting the whole time for Cotto to say something back and Cotto now does it a week before the fight? I bet Paulie is loving it and think's he's in Cotto's head. I bet Cotto fights differently now and tries hard to Knock Paulie out and if it doesnt happened then he will get frustrated of Paulie's mouth and will be in trouble.

5-Judging by the Baloyi fight tonight, I wouldve liked to see the fight with him vs N'Dou

4.I think cotto's been annoyed from the start,I dont think it will really affect him though.I will say though that, cotto fought that kind of fight(not his fight, trying to get that KO) against Corley and it hurt him.But then again I think Corley is about 5x better than Malignaggi.

5.I didnt see the fight, fill me in on why you say that.

agreed on your other points, theres great fights coming up.Cant wait to see Cotto-Castillo and Cotto @147.Good stuff happenin in June in the lighter weights, but also taylor-wright.

5-Actually I didnt see much of it except a few rounds here and there and Atlas & Pappi made it sound like they thought he was losing at the time he KO Medina but from what I saw he looked like a talente fighter and Ive heard his name alot but never got to see him.

I turned on the fight and recognized Medina but thought he was just fighting a nobody. Then I saw Baloyi's name and I thought to myself, "that must be why Ive been reading his name more latley".

Anyways he seemed solid in those brief looks and he dropped Medina like 3 times in the 10th round or so and they stopped it. All 3 judges had Baloyi ahead on the cards so I dont know if they were right or Atlas was. They looked like they were hard rounds to score because Medina seemed to be throwing alot of punches but Baloyi was picking his spots, countering, and lading some clean shots.

I just thought that Phillip N'Dou was exciting when he fought Floyd and both him and Baloyi come from South Africa and I most writers said that it was a great fight when they met so I wouldve loved to seen it with there styles.
