  • NICE! That's a good fight for both. If Wilder wins, I don't want to hear none "well he was overrated and didn't beat anyone anyway" crap. Ortiz is the most avoided HW for the last 2 years. If Wilder can get past him, respect.

      • Another good day for boxing and the HW Division when this happens, I've wanted to get this one done so we can really narrow down the pretenders from the contenders. Klitchko needs to make a decision so the other parts can play out, same goes for Fury; box or retire. With the all the good publicity and good fights(not counting"The Event") abounding it's time for the Heavyweight's to make breakout with someone rising to unify.

Yeah I think the same, a fighter's momentum is so key, but Ortiz's career has kind of teetered off since the Jennings win.

          • Ortiz would knock whyte out so eggs are firmly planted on the faces of all those who said wilder is ducking whyte which was a laughable claim

I get the feeling Ortiz hasn't gotten out of 1st gear and has fought very lazily . he's actually fairly fast on his feet when he wants to be. He's technically more sound. If ortiz comes out lackluster again then wilder gets rid of him early but if he shows those other gears i feel he has, I favour him to stop wilder in the mid rounds

Nicely put, I feel exactly as you do.

              • Ortiz is going to beat him.

But if Wilder somehow wins then Luis will magically become a bum.

Time will tell! If Wilder is successful, what we have is AJ beating a 41 yr. old man, and Wilder beating a 38 yr. old man, and those "old men" will be the best fights of both of their resumes. Hopefully that brings us to Wilder vs. Joshua! That's what we all want, and hopefully this is the path we're on!

It won't take him 40 fights, that's for sure

                    • I said when Wilder turned down Whyte for 5 mill, if he didn't come up with a better opponent I would be right along with his haters calling him bumsquad. Guess what? BOMMMMMMMMMMBBBBBBBBBBB SQQQQQQUUUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDDDD
