It's mid July, so assuming this fight is announced in August, it could happen sometime in October. Otherwise, it could happen late this year.

Man this would be a great fight. True toss up 50/50.

Think I'd lean Porter. I will say that it would be the best fighter I could see either of them beating in the division, meaning I think Spence, Thurman, and Brook are a step above these two. But still these guys come after them (with Manny still somewhere in the mix, I guess Horn even though I'm not a believer, and hopefully soon Crawford moving up).

Would be a great fight to help settle out the hierarchy of the still somewhat jumbled WW division.

Plus the two dads would help promote it. Would be an entertaining (and somewhat odd) press conference where the two fighters are relatively respectful towards each other, but their fathers both do all the trash talking for them.

Hope we get this fight!

porter does a job on garcia.

Not if the referee does his job he's not.

Porter has an established reputation as a "billy goat"; he did it to Paulie, he did it to Brook, he did it to Broner, he did it to Thurman, and he even ended up stopping Berto with head butts.

Angel Garcia is going to talk it up, the highlight in the build to the fight will bring it up, and pressure will be on the ref to keep the fight actually clean.

With Porter being relatively manageable fighter when force to fight and not billy goat, projecting all that extra is a bit much.
