They allow certain fighters to have a lot of breaks and it's looking like Wilder is one of them

He may face Breazeale in September and they could still have Stiverne as the #1 guy, while Wlad, Pulev, Ortiz, and Whyte who are behind Stiverne in the rankings not even get an ounce of consideration to fight Wilder.
Gotta be the Don King connect... he got dirt on the WBC or something.
Amir Imam is also the 140 WBC mando who beat 2 non-factors since his loss to Granados.... surprise, both with Don King

Maybe...Imam's opponents after the Granados fight had a combined record of 42-42-2. That doesn't warrant a #1 ranking in any level.

The WBC has been allowing a lot, though...you see folks getting on the case for Adonis Stevenson as he hasn't fought his mandatory in over a year

That's just GYM/Stevenson doing w/e they want and maximizing their PBC money.
Gym kept telling EA they're building up the fight and he kept taking other fights to "build up" to stevenson.
Still not that big even though he beat Pascal, but at least EA made some money and upped his record a bit

Yes he has improved his record but as you said, that fight is not big enough to be a high profile fight. It would probably end up in the Bell Centre and be on network television...with a good co-main event
