No, Floyd just simply used his pull as the A side to coerce Maidana into not using the Everlast MX gloves. He explicitly expressed his disapproval of those gloves because of how much less padding is has compared to others. There was never any accusation or speculation of Maidana tampering with his pair.
So Floyd used his A-sideness against Maidana but couldn't use his A-sideness against Pacwuiao because.....?
