Thats probably $5M+ he's losing out of if he loses to Eubank Jr. From a purely money point of view I can see how this could be sweat inducing for anyone, but specifically anyone with a legit shot to win the whole thing.

This is a $10M for the winner tournament. This isn't a speculative thing. If Jamie Cox wins his next 3 fights he's got $10,000,000 in his bank account. Thats gonna present a unique stress level for many competitors cuz usually your future success in boxing is always a unsure thing to a much higher degree.
    This!
I must admit Eff Pandas and Redd Foxx are one of the few on this forum who comment with rationality and common sense.

Hes come a long way since then and Groves looks like hes declined since the Froch fight
Sparring is sparring, it's there to iron out kinks and try new stuff, doesn't always reflect how a fighter performs on fight night.
Froch massively underestimated groves due to their sparring sessions to the point he didn't think he was anywhere near is level and nearly came unstuck because of it.

Besides which, big gloves, headgear, fighters trying to get work in rather than sit down on their punches and take the other guy out, sparring is always going to flatter a high volume, low power punching style.

Meanwhile in the real world the only decent fighter in he's prime he fought he lost to. Haven't seen video of him sparring Groves. Have seen video of him knocking out a novice amateur. Classy.

That's a big fight in the UK. I hope it happens.

I haven't seen the AA fight to be honest, I've bought some turd sandwich PPVs in my time but I wasn't touching this.
Had a brief look on YouTube at some highlights until I find a download link for the full fight. It looked like AA shelled up for the majority of the fight with eubank landing his familiar fan friendly combos that don't carry much behind them while cruising to a win.
The rare time Abraham threw a punch though and he actually jabbed with eubank, his jabs seemed better timed, more authoritative and it looked like he was beating him to the punch. Is this an accurate reflection of the fight? If it is, it doesn't bode well for eubank, groves may have his flaws but he has a fantastic jab.

I'd do as far as to say groves would be more worried about facing yildirim, styles make fights and groves has a vulnerability about him that means a fight against a pressure fighter with decent power is always potentially problematic. Where as I would back him to beat Eubanks style all day long.
