I don't understand why people hate cops. If you are not breaking the law, they are nothing but over paid security guards.

    Salute for the fallen.

You got to understand that bad cops are being arrested , you never hear about it , A because the media doesn't care about it and B because the police would like to keep it off the news , The main reason cops are "bad" is because you don't pay them enough so the people who are willing to work in a grueling sometimes life therathing work which pays little are exactly the kind of people we you don't want in a power position......
If you payed better you get higher level of ppl to work at that job , better common sense , better decision making , better ethic , thats life , same with teachers , you need to see the teachers in Denmark for example , they get payed well so you get good teachers , life are money driven and good ppl will work where there is money.

They didn't bring up Manny's comments about gays deserving the death penalty and Manny supporting the extra judicial killing of drug abusers and innocent people simply accused of using/selling drugs. They don't love you Floyd and it's nothing you can do to make them love you. Even if you took the Sammy Sosa route they still won't love you.
Can't argue with that...Aren't the same people who hate Floyd loving off Connor for the same reasons? Domestic violence aside, Connor is doing the same thing as Floyd...

As Loma said "Only reason Connor is known is probably because of his trash talk and persona"

Compensation may have something to do with it, but having good cops standing for what's right and calling out evils, rather than simply defending every cop just because they're a cop, will go a lot further than folks think.

Being a cop is hard; having control over life/death decisions should never be easy. But that's why cops are held in the position they are.

Police Athletic Leagues (PALs) have done more to promote good policing than anything I can think of; cops get to know the kids in the neighborhoods that they service, kids get to know the "good cops", and you end up building durable community relationships that you can lean on when pursuing folks (no one wants crime in their neighborhood, but you've got to see people as people first).

Money helps; better engagement helps more.
