Smart move by Arum. HBO wasn't given as many dates or money as he wanted and ESPN seems to be fully invested in boxing with Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank.

Hopefully he does business with other promotional companies and doesn't shut business down with HBO like how Oscar did with Showtime.

I guess JoJo Diaz will be making the step up soon and he's potentially a popular fighter with the skills to back it up. But yeah HBO's line-up is looking pretty poor right now, especially when Ward, Canelo and GGG only seem to fight on PPV these days

Ya PBC sure put on a terrible, boring, card last night huh? You really have nothing to back your statement up. Alot of PBC cards have been very entertaining if you step back, with an ubiased opinion, and look at the fights and the entertainment value they have presented. If Arum continues to put on as many cards as PBC has I GUARANTEE he produces the same amount of "crappy matchups". You are just an idiot who wont like anything Haymon has done.

It seems Al had the right idea way before Bob. Which he did about Floyd too.

LMAO. Arum's an idiot. His whole justification and acknowledgement for branding success off premium channels is the concept of PBC on mainstream as well, to help promote a brand as he says "UFC" or boxing on Fox....

Way to go Bobdilla. Seems like you and Haymon are hitting it off well now!

There's still a lot of questions around this deal that have yet to be answered. Obviously putting Pacquiao on ESPN is going to grab views. Let's see how Lomachenko and Crawford do. It's premature to start the chest beating. How will they fight the top guys around their weight class if they're stuck on ESPN?

All for boxing being on ESPN. I thought Al should've went exclusively with ESPN or FOX out the gate. But let's not act like this is some clear success story. Lots of questions still

I LOVED last night's PBC fights!!! And got to watch it at a bar. I can't find ANY bars or restuarant that have HBO or even Showtime. ESPN does also so GREAT move.

HBO is dead. They don't give two SHTS about boxing anymore...

I enjoyed the PBC card last night. However if you can't see the absolute failure PBC is, then there is no hope for you. They had $400M invested, what do they have to show for it? 3 lost deals (ESPN, NBC and Spike), only 2 deals left (FOX and Bounce). They still have no stars as part of their stable, this is because of inactivity. Do you think exciting guys in their primes like Charlo bros should be fighting 1-2 a year?

I hope PBC sticks with FOX and the occasional showtime card and tries to build from there, but there is no doubt that Haymon's initial plan of bringing boxing back to the masses via free TV has not been successful.
