Chris Eubank Jnr set his sights on a showdown with George Groves after the successful defence of his IBO world super-middleweight title with a unanimous points win over German Arthur Abraham at Wembley Arena. Although the champion was not able to deliver a knockout blow against the battle-hardened 37-year-old, himself a former IBF middleweight and twice WBO super-middleweight title holder, the superiority across the judges scorecards gave Eubank the validation he needed heading into the inaugural World Boxing Super Series.

I mean with all the easy touches E.U bum jr. is getting hes bound to get to at least the semi-finals. These Brits are coming out scared but look at the American Rob Brant jumping up to 168 and getting the hardest test in the quarter finals.

That makes it seem like he'll duck out of the tournament once he fights Groves if he beats him.

I can't see them lasting in this tournament.

This is the best exposure for Chris Eubank Jr. And great timing for him. At least being involved in the WBSS beats anything BJS has done since Lee. I expect Schaeffer to show creative production with the WBSS.

I think Eubank would make easy work of degale. Degale has arguably lost his last 3 fights..

I just realised, wasn't Kessler supposed to make a comeback nd participate in the tournament? What happened to that?

Jnr is a solid competitor on world level, very skilled, fast and has a big tank by looks of it. Up to now he has been protected but glad he will finally step up and be put to the test. He gives anyone in the tournament a hard night.
