Comments Thread For: McGregor: Mayweather Mismanaged Money, It Brought Him Back

CONOR McGREGOR insists he has the power to back up his trash talking and pull off a huge shock against Floyd Mayweather Jr on August 26. It will be the first time the Irish mixed martial arts fighter has ever boxed professionally and five-weight world champion Mayweather is a big betting favourite for the light-middleweight fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

McGregor is an idiot if he thinks he can hurt Mayweather. Floyd has been in there with guys bigger, stronger, and who hit harder (and for a living). Professional boxers who can clobber people, and yet he's never really hurt in the ring. One or two times, maybe, but his awareness and recovery are second-to-none. If Floyd is in fighting shape for this and takes his opponent seriously, he's going to embarrass this loudmouth moron.

He was hurt or at least stunned against Corley, Judah,Mosley, Maidana and Pacquiao and there are probably a few more that I am missing. As you said, his ability to recover Is second to none, along with having an Iron chin. Unless Floyd forgot 30 years worth of boxing and got old over night, Mcgregor has no chance of winning or hurting him.

McGregor keeps mentioning Floyd's tiny core and small frame, so much that I expected to see Lou Ferrigno when he came out bare chested at the Brooklyn conference, but he's a skinny streak of piss himself.

I don't see how he thinks he's in any way better built than Floyd. Floyd always comes in in exceptional shape and I expect this time to be no different, it will be a chiseled 154lbs.

McGregor has tiny arms as well, like little sparrow legs.

The fight of the century ... or not lol. I think many people are just curious as to how good, or bad, McGregor looks in a boxing fight against Mayweather, and if he loses his head and forgets that he's not allowed to kick and use a take-down. But I would think if he does that ******e then not only is it an immediate disqualification, but a large part of his salary will be erased.

Is this technically karma for Mayweather? We had Conor and Rousey and White hyping Floyd's name in 2015 constantly...

Now supposedly the IRS fake hype didn't work. They think it affects Floyd. How does fake news afffect Floyd?! Lol.

McGregor is thicker than Floyd, but not really bigger.

McGregor can crack a jaw with small mma gloves so I can understand his confidence, but I don't see how he can think his power will he that good with boxing gloves.

He's just not used to boxing gloves, especially on fight night, sparring ain't sht.

Can't wait until this fight blows over. All this hype for another Floyd Mayweather 12round boxing lesson, against a clear amatuer with sub-par footwork and headmovemt. UFC VS Boxing crossover my a**!
