My point is that McGregor gets no points saying the same things that the media fed him. Mayweather got him with original material. McGregor came at him with regurgitated material. And Mayweather never reacted to anything that McGregor said. Mayweather never tried to attack McGregor's family. He only attacked McGregor himself. McGregor was better on the mic, for sure, but he won't be in the ring. That's the problem with casual fight fans (which are also MMA fans): they weren't going in with an unbiased mindset. They weren't going in hoping to learn something about Floyd, or boxing, or be completely impartial and judge the verbal jabs fairly. Their minds were made up before it happened. They would boo even if what he said was gold; Floyd Mayweather was going to get unwarranted and baseless hate like he's the Roman Reigns of this contest.

If Floyd shows up in respectable fighting shape, he's going to annihilate McGregor. The Irishman will make things crazy for a couple of rounds and get people excited, but then Floyd will take over, slow the fight down, and embarrass him. Floyd himself even gave his opponent credit in the subsequent interviews saying, "Conor is going to fight his heart out. He's going to bring everything."
