I asked this in the thread about fighters having 100 fights, but now I'm really curious. Does anyone know how the average PPV buy rates in boxing stack against the UFC buy rates? I think the Mosley-Vargas fight did about 475,000 or something like that and the DLH-Mayorga was something like 800,000 or 900,000 buys. Those numbers might be off but they are what comes to mind, but I never hear what the UFC numbers are. With all this talk of UFC being a looming threat to boxing it would be interesting to see how the numbers compare.

I just answered this(your) question in this topic:Originally posted by jason100xI asked this in the thread about fighters having 100 fights, but now I'm really curious. Here's what I posted:
UFC has surpassed the WWE in pay-per-view buys already.
UFC 59(with the return of Tito Ortiz) had 400,000+ buys. The past UFC events have been averaging similiar figures also(UFC 58 had 300k, UFC 57 had 400+K also). UFC 60(Gracie vs Hughes) will probably surpass that.
Still not nearly as much as boxing. DeLahoya-Mayorgo had almost 900,000 buys.
Anybody know how many pvv buys Pacquaio-Morales 2 had? -
I think UFC 60 will probably surpass 500k buys the way they hyped it up. It was a good event though. I didn't buy it, but people who did said it was worth it.
I still wanna know how the Morales-Pacman 2 fight did? I'm thinking of all the buys from Mexico and the Phillipines, or does it work differently?Comment

I saw UFC 60 with a few friends so at least we all pitched in for it, I don't know what the cost was, but I heard it was more expensive than UFC PPVs usually are. Overall the PPV was pretty good, the Diego Sanchez fight ****** though, but if I were paying for that myself I would be pissed. I think they need to have one more fight on the card to make it more worth it. I like knockouts or TKOs but three of the fights ended quickly and the fourth was boring, I felt there needed to be something more to make it worth the cost.Comment
