    Johnson v. Derevyanchenko 8-25?

According to boxrec, this fight is set. Winner becoming IBF mandatory for Golovkin-Alvarez winner.

One question and one implication here.

Why the hell would they not put this on the GGGCanelo PPV?
Golden Boy represents Johnson, if he wins, wouldn't they want the American people to see it and build up a fanbase? It would be one more great middleweight that Golden Boy has to match around.

The implication we can draw here is that Tureano Johnson is not therefore in line to face Jacobs, who Golden Boy was talking about being on the undercard. The only other legit middleweight they could have against Jacobs is Jason Quigley. Now last info on him was that he would have to miss the PPV due to a broken hand, but I did note that he had a twitter/instagram post about returning to the US to get back to work.

If it's not Quigley GB could feed someone like Texeira to Jacobs, but I'm not sure why they would sabotage their own fighter like that.

Golden Boy lost the purse bid. It's gonna be on a PBC event the nighr before to promote the May-Mac PPV.

That makes sense, I did a google search but couldn't find out any more than what I wrote. Thanks.

Derevyanchenko will DESTROY HIM! People don't know how much of a PROBLEM Derevyanchenko is for not just Johnson but Canelo and GGG as well if they step in with him. He mix up his punches flawlessly, Nasty Body Puncher! Strong on the Inside! Head Movement questionable sometimes but he also Circles and can sidestep something I see the Ukrainian fighters doing more of with the Lomachenko Circling and Side Stepping. Derevyanchenko uses it as well!

Solid test for him vs Johnson!

Is this Eastern Euro Stiff the next great white hope after Golovkin gets derailed by Canelo?

Canelo is whiter than Golovkin, who is half Asian.
