...there's my list. A lot of people would say that is a very short list but half of the people here who know a lot of the old-timer **** is just **** they have read in a book. Ex. Yogi

And almost everyone here knows their current **** so everyone has the potential if they looked back into the history and watched a bunch of old fights.

I started watching boxing in the 80's era, when it was on terrestrial TV. Most of the cats on here probably didn't even know what boxing was until a couple of years ago.

I've read a whole bunch of boxing books over my 30 years as a boxing fan, Smokin', and still have quite a few of them...that is true.

But I get the vast majority of my 'factual' boxing information from researching various contemporary newspaper articles from the respective time(s), and also have a fair sized collection of fights on tape for my viewing pleasure (including some that are quite rare)...

So no, the "old-timer ****" that I know about the sport isn't "just **** I've read in a book" or two.
