Of course it's scripted - when has Floyd ever done anything remotely spontaneously?

It's amazing how many people are out there willing to pay $99 for this circus, just amazing...

I think the whole thing is scripted, I wouldn't be surprised if the actual fight has been planned out (fixed) beforehand.

No doubt. Reason why I want Floyd to absolutely dismantle Conor and stop him somehow to not give these asshats any scapegoat. I don't want a safety first boring decision from Floyd against a guy with no pro fights in boxing. The ultimate kicker would be if he makes McGregor quit, he'd be known as a quitter in two sports lol a feat nobody has claimed yet.

I didn't even think about or care about that during the first presser, but right at the start of the 2nd presser when they did the face off & Floyd pointed at Conor & Conor did his Bruce Lee come here thing that smelled of something planned to me. I mean look at the picture. Looks like it should be the f#cking poster for the event ffs. So yea I tend to think there were some perimeters & plans made with how this would go while there still being some in the moment sh^t going on.

It's up there. To anyone with half a brain it's obvious this is a giant setup. Everyone who signed up for this knows what the game is. Al, Showtime, the UFC, Dana White, and especially Floyd and Conor are in on a giant scam to bilk rubes out of hundreds of millions of dollars.

Oh well, I think its kind of funny, but then again, I won't be dropping $100 on this farce. I have little doubt they plan every presser to maximize viewership and get quotes out there. I'm sure they are in constant communication to make sure this goes off huge. How could they not? It's not like anything is at stake here. No belts, no competitive honor, no real reputations. At the end of the day, it's a 40-year old retired legend in an exhibition match against a complete novice.

I'm sure afterwards they will be all smiles and hugging in the ring and all the schmucks who paid will feel jacked but oh well..

Honestly thats one of the only ways Floyd legit wins this fight. I mean win win cuz even if Floyd wins 11-1 the fact he lost a round is an L. Or if he wins 12-0 & Conor had a half a round where he made Floyd look bad its a L. So Floyd to legit win win here he needs to KO Conor early & in dominate, uncompetitive fashion or he needs to play around, give the fans some value for their $100 & then KO him or make him quit. But for sure the making him quit part would be the best way Floyd can win in particular after the quitter talk in Toronto.

those press conference are what is wrong with the world today. that this fight and media tour somehow appeals to people makes me feel deep, deep shame for my countrymen and people who live abroad who will actually buy into this crap.

at least connor mcgregor fits into the circus. floyd mayweather just looks awkward and ready to fight and collect his check.

i blame the UFC for a lot of this. yeah, press conferences used to try and generate bad blood, and don king's idea of a successful "face off" ended in blows being thrown but not hard enough to injure anybody. but if you watch enough ufc pressers you'll realize that these guys are clearly coached by publicists and the promtors, and that the whole thing is usually staged in a manner that gets casuals to buy into it.

real professional fighters don't jaw back and fourth for show at a press conference. they train and they fight. floyd's days of being a real pro fighter are gone. he's just going to go through the motions in these pressers, train hard enough to not get injured, box the doors off of a zero fight novice, and get paid nine figures.

No it's not ''scripted'' at all for the simple fact that Floyd, when he says particular things about being Champ for so long or how much money he has made vs what he has made, the split screen and framing CLEARLY shows Conor distressed about that and start to puff hard while sitting and occassionally starts chewing his gum profusely...

the thing is that Mayweather (TMT Promotions) had STRICT Rules from pressers and leading to the fight that McGregor has to follow the limit or rules for the risk of legal action (sabotaging the promotions and losses). OF COURSE Conor wants to naturally retaliate but the best thing he can do is just play along. That's not scripted
