What I found comical In the press conference was the fact that Floyd said "In the ring" or "In the octagon It didn't matter" yet they are fighting with boxing rules In place, In a boxing ring, with heavy fines being assessed If any MMA moves are used. So, It clearly matters.

im not saying he has no power but i can only gauge on what fighters that have faced him say about it diaz said he is strong but nothing he aint ever felt before, eddie same thing , aldo wanted to get back in the ring with him, mendez said he wasnt hurt bad enough to not continue he was just exhausted

It's confusing because I see him hit the bag and I dont see this power either. Then again that's all irrelevant, it's all about timing and how well one places their shots. I don't doubt that Mayweather may actually hit harder.

Mcgregor definitely hits hard (at least enough to hurt a small, old floyd early) you can see it in his form, he's very strong and punches through, all that strength though limits his power for only about 5-10 minutes. Floyd is old as sht, unless he gets a pro like ariza or gets on some high grade good stuff he's going to show up even worse than he did vs berto, so he wont hit as hard as mcgregor, but mcgregor is weak chinned and he'll be very susceptible to being hurt from the midpoint on.

Floyd just has to jab mcgregor for a few rds to wait out his power and "footwork" then start working him and dominate.

Fight is going to be boring as sht.

BS over the glove weight. It's licensed as a Boxing match by NSAC and are using Uniform Rules of Boxing: over 147# must use 10 ounce gloves. They can use any 10 oz. boxing gloves approved by NSAC unless otherwise specified in their contracts.

Agreed, I notice a few things about Mcgregor's punching:

1. He winds up so much that he throws wide punches that are slow as hell


2. He steps through so far that if he misses at all he's completely off balance, out of position, with a wide open chin.


3. He's got no snap on his punches at all, just slow pushing punches.


The bigger deal to me isn't his power it's his speed.

As far as I can tell Mcgregor is slow as ****. This guy has no speed on any of his punches at all.

If Mcgregor is that slow even with 4 oz gloves, like you said he's not going to touch Floyd with 10 oz gloves.
