It seems like everyone who watches this fight without Teddy Atlas' commentary reaches the same conclusion.

yes, atlas is the reason why compu box had pac out landing horn in 11 of the 12 rounds. I don't even care that pac lost and wish he'd just go away, but in reality he deserved to win that fight.

The name "Compubox" might lead some people to think that it's some kind of all-seeing, all-knowing machine that doesn't make mistakes, but that's not the case. It's operated by people who potentially have biases and prejudices and thus make errors.

Even if you trust Compubox, which I don't because the stats they put out just don't seem to gel with reality a lot of the time, especially this time, punches landed isn't the only metric you should judge a fight by, even if it is the primary one. Horn was bossing the ring, forcing Pacquiao onto the ropes with aggression one moment and running rings around him with his footwork the next. Even if you think that he landed a lot less punches as Compubox suggests (again, I don't) he was throwing much more in volume and forcing Pacquiao to be relatively passive for the first six rounds.

honestly, I don't need atlas or compu box to influence how I see a fight. I saw horn being aggressive but not very effective, other than with his head. I saw pac fight less aggressive than what he usually has but still outboxed, outlanded, and was more effective than horn. Horn got the decision more so because he exceeded expectations, for some odd reason, despite being the b side, he was fighting in his hometown (so the crowd influence played a role) , and I also think arum wanted pac to lose.

i actually watched this fight with few friends at a party. we didnt have the sound on and when the fight was over I actually thought the fight could go either way. I was legit shocked by the commentary and outrage when I got home and watched it alone with sound. I would of never guessed people thought it was a robbery. Controversial maybe but every close fight is controversial.

I just think its weird how easily you can be swayed by social media and others opinions but when you watch a fight with no sound you see something completely different. Usually when I score fights im right in line with the majority as well. I still think that fight was close and could of gone either way and this idea of robbery and all that bs just doesnt work for me.

I thought Bob Arum was a smart promoter? So how is it smart to have a 38 year old continue to fight men who outweigh him by 15 pounds in the ring? Let Pacquiao fight at 135, there are more fan friendly fights down there anyway. And if you want to take him on a world tour, how big would Pacquiao-Linares be in Linares home country? Or Pacquiao-Lomachenko in the Ukraine?

They just want to suck money off him by keeping him in the "money division" 147 even though it's ruining the last decade of Pacquiao's career, and probably hastening his decline by taking punishment from bigger guys constantly. As I said, I thought they were smart? 147 is not the "money division," the money division is wherever the stars like Floyd or Pacquiao fight. The Floyd rematch isn't happening anymore so move Pacquiao to 135 and that will be the new money division.

Wait, so now Manny is too small to fight at 147 because he's being outweighed by bigger guys? He didn't have a problem before and aren't you the one who keeps asking for Floyd to fight GGG even though he would out weight Floyd by 15 lbs or more?

If you're a Pacquiao fan, don't score his fights. If you're a fan of any particular fighter or fighters, do not score their fights. It's some sort of psychological effect that will give you an inaccurate result. Sort of like tunnel vision but not quite. As I, your heart and mind must be neutral for your final tally to be valid
