Still some of the dumbest people are on this site.

One idiot mentions special rates for llcs... There are no special rates for llcs. Llc income is treated as pass through income.

Then we have the morons mentioning that the wealthy don't pay much taxes... That's capital gains on investments which i believe is 15% right now. This 300 million figure will be taxed as personal income, not capital gains.

There's idiots talking about deductions... Which don't alleviate much tax liability. Floyd would need over 200 million in deductions just to get him to that 26 million tax bill. So Floyd would've needed to spend 200 million in charitable donations and/or expenses related to his business.

    Seriously... The dumbest people here...4

Umm what? In America the wealthiest people get the most tax breaks. Even so I would expect he owed a little more money, but I definitely would NOT be surprised if the story is completely fabricated.

Either way I don't care what another person earns or what their tax situation might be. I mean the president of the US suggests all people hire lawyers to avoid paying taxes...so what's that say about paying taxes anyway? And why are people concerned or have an opinion about someone else's ability to pay taxes or (in this case) desire to?

According to press accounts, Donald Trump seems prepared to put out a tax cut proposal that could net him hundreds of millions of dollars over the next decade. It probably won't do much to help the rest of us, but folks who were worried about whether President Trump would be able to pay off his debt...

You've seen Trump's tax returns, really? Shiiit, you provide those to the ******* media and they'd make you rich if that were true.

You sound more insecure about Floyd's financial troubles than Floyd does lol.

Why does anyone care about Floyd's ability to pay taxes? Why are you here defending it

Leaving a tax debt of $94mil.

This is not how it works. What you see is just his tax bracket. I am pretty sure all this money goes through Mayweather's Promotion and other business entity setup in his name. Through a corporation, he will likely have many write-offs.

Bill Clinton, former Ivy league lawyer, paid roughly 34% federal taxes in 2015. Are we trying to say Floyd is smarter?

Exactly. It's embarassing for Floyd but if he really has the assets he claims he has, then he can use the money from the McG fight to pay the taxes and still be sitting on hundreds of millions of dollars. NO harm done.

Floyd always gave me the impression that he thought that he was some kind of financial mastermind and that the proof of his being "The Best Ever" was the size of his bank account and the amount of 0s on the cheques that he got written for him. Having the taxman breathing down his neck isn't a good look for him no matter what the facts of the matter truly are.
