Comments Thread For: Marriaga Very Confident, Eager To Shock Vasyl Lomachenko

Colombian contender Miguel Marriaga celebrated his second week of training at Mexico City's Nuevo Jordan gymnasium, and from there he accepted respect for the quality of his nemesis for this August 5th in Los Angeles, Vasyl Lomachenko, but made it clear that he's ready to shock the world as well. Accompanied by coach Samuel Gmez, assistant Alejandro Galindo and manager scar Maldonado, Marriaga said he was grateful for the opportunity given to him by Top Rank and Lomachenko, and he does not intend to miss it after fall short in his title fights against Nicholas Walters and Oscar Valdez.

Worthless fight - even Lom fans have said this. When Fans of a fighter say a fight is worthless, then you know it is worthless! You cant be fighting the leftovers of a guy you beat!

Marriaga's tough but he'll likely be outclassed heavily against Loma.

Joke fight. Lomo needs to move to 135 if there are no relevant skilled 130 pounders willing to fight him. He could have made a fight with Ray Beltran at 135 to test the waters.
