Lol, he buckled Cotto in the 12th for a moment, Cotto recovered and kept pressing forward.

For most of that fight Cotto was putting pressure on Mayweather amd forced him to fight more than he wanted to. Granted Mayweather won but that was one of Floyd's most difficult fights and one of his most entertaining fights not because of himself but because of Cotto.

Out of the Canelo, Pacquiao and Cotto fights, who would have thought that Cotto would give him the best fight out of the 3. But that's boxing for you.

Remember the look of panic on Floyd's face when he went back to his corner with a bloody nose? Maidana gave him an even tougher fight and I had him winning that first fight.

I think MMA/McGregor fans are looking to that Maidana fight as his gameplan to fight Floyd, which is really the only chance he has to stay in the fight past three rounds. I don't think Conor sees round 5, this will be the first and only fight where Floyd carries someone for a few rounds just so fans aren't pissed they blew $100 on a garbage exhibition.

we've seen floyd carry elite fighters to 12 round decisions just for the hell of it. Cotto, marquez, and guerrero were fights where it was obvious he could've stopped the other guy. Particularly cotto (he was showing weak legs on check hooks) and marquez (got dropped and was just too small).

I think he'll let conor throw some shots early to get fans excited then go for the stoppage around the 4th or 5th. I'm not so sure he'll get him out of there quickly though. I could see a towel coming around round 8 or 9. I don't think he gets the ko.

I actually agrees with this. I have been saying the same thing since that Cotto fight. That was the only time I saw Mayweather standing in front of his opponent, taking his shots, when we all know that's not the way he usually fights. You guys can say what you want but I think that Floyd found that fight so easy that he intentionally stood in front of Cotto just to make it more interesting. And I'm not even mentioning the two times that Cotto was on shaky legs and Floyd just let him go.

I agree, I think McGregor and his team will adopt the rough house Maidana approach, the only question is the stamina of McGregor. By the mid rounds (if Conor lasts that long) I see Floyd pot shotting and start to tee off on McGregor. It may get stopped after the mid rounds or just be a wide UD win for Floyd I'm thinking. (I don't think Conor will have the gas tank or stamina to last 12, but we will see)

Regardless, he never carried Cotto. He struggled. Doesn't matter what the weight was, you conveniently forget that Floyd fought Marquez and Canelo at catch weights that he demanded. Didn't even bother to make the weight for the Marquez fight.

Conor wants his $100 million nothing more from the fight

Imagine a great Dentist going in to do heart Surgery in an operating room in an emergency situation? That is what Conor is having to do with Floyd. Conor is a great MMA fighter but just not a professional boxer. Taking on maybe the greatest fighter of all time is a mistake but $100 million makes it eASY TO TAKE. duh?
