Don't know where all this confidence is coming from.
He was asked to fight Gamboa and then balked at Yuri making more in the fight.
It's like complaining about your co-employee's paycheck, instead of yours.
He left Arum and now making less than when he's with TR.

January 27, 2017:
Mikey won his first 21 professional fights with a knockout in 17 of them, and each of those knockout victories came within the first five rounds...
Garcia won his first major title two years later, when he beat WBO featherweight champion and The Ring No. 1-ranked featherweight Orlando Salido...
Garcia was on the track to becoming a superstar in the sport, but there was an underlying problem brewing that would eventually derail his career.
"I started to notice a pattern in the way the negotiations would go down [with Top Rank] after I beat Orlando Salido," Garcia said.
Garcia claimed that Top Rank would not pay him the full negotiated amount after several fights, saying his opponents were to blame for a reduced purse.
"It was always a fight with them. I took a $100,000 pay cut on the Rocky Martinez fight, and I got about $150,000 less than what I was promised for the next fight. It started to add up," Garcia said.
While Garcia was unhappy with Top Rank, he figured his contract with the company would expire on Feb. 27, 2014, and he would be able to sign elsewhere. Top Rank, however, told him his contract automatically renewed following a title win or a successful title defense, which Garcia said would indefinitely keep him under an outdated deal he signed in 2009. So Garcia sued the company on April 8, 2014, and it took two years for the case to go to court.

I expect Mikey to win but if you check his resume the guys that he's knocked out have been ko'd before lol his best wins are Salido, Roman Martinez and Juan Manuel Lopez at lower weight classes then he went on his hiatus. It may be a closer match than some anticipate. But i think ultimately Broner's low work rate will cost him in this fight.

He would have been a millionaire by now, ie, Crawford, Loma, making $1 mil plus per fight. Not to mention Rios, Bradley, Marquez, etc. Strange part is he's calling out TR fighters, and you'd wonder why he ever left.
May 2, 2012:
Dan Rafael of ESPN reports that Miguel Cotto will make a career-best $8 million purse on Saturday night against Floyd Mayweather Jr, plus upside money from the HBO pay-per-view sales.
Mayweather's purse total will be handed in on Thursday, but keep in mind that Mayweather makes far more than just his purse, as he gets a big cut of PPV money, plus as he's said before, basically a cut of everything sold during the event, from hot dogs and beer to t-shirts and hats. It's the Bruce Springsteen deal.
Manny Pacquiao absolutely makes more than his Nevada pay sheets read, as he's been guaranteed $20 million-plus for his recent fights, but it's a goofy piece of side note trivia that as far as I recall, Cotto's $8 million purse is actually higher than the Nevada commission purse figure Pacquiao has made in any fight to date.
Pacquiao had a $6 million purse against Mosley, and the same figure when he faced Juan Manuel Marquez. His guarantees for those fights were $20 and $22 million. Both Marquez and Mosley were paid $5 million for their fights with Manny, and Mosley was paid $7 million for his fight with Mayweather in 2010.
So this makes Cotto, not even counting the PPV upside, the highest-paid opponent for either fighter, besides Oscar De La Hoya, who was the A-side in his fights with Floyd and Manny.
Cotto made a $4 million purse when he fought Pacquiao in November 2009, and had a 35% share of the PPV pot.

Why did Cotto make more without Bob, than he did with Bob? Why did Floyd make more without Bob, than he did with Bob? Why did Oscar make more without Bob, than he did with Bob? Now ask yourself, will Garcia make more without Bob, than he did with Bob? If he beats Broner, the answer is a resounding YES!
