They are ****ing atrocious, i wouldnt watch them if you paid me. Burn's would hardly be able to cash out fighting on regular sky sports, he'd be getting the same money for fighting taylor tbh which generates far more interest and makes more sense.

Hearn knows he has a big PPV fight for crolla with Flanagan down the line and another L for crolla (even a shot burn's could still beat him) then that scuppers that plan..
Burns-Crolla will make a lot more money at this stage than Burns-Taylor, sky sports can generate a lot more than channel 5 can. Burns-Crolla would be one of Burns' biggest ever paydays, there is no opportunity for Burns to fight on PPV so the Crolla fight is as good as it gets for him. I doubt Crolla-Flanagan is even pencilled in for the future for Hearn and Sky, little chance of it ever being on PPV.

Maybe but it won't be substantially more, Hearn only cares about the PPV show's now, the quality of fights on regular sky sports is so low these days, you can tell he doesnt give a flying **** about them, which is why the best we're getting is the likes of buglioni as a main event.

I dunno, Once terry loses his belt to the overrated puerto rican kid then 'the battle of manchester' will be made, I just don't see Hearn paying a few hundred K to Burns on regular sky sports for a fight no one wants to see...

Buglioni-Summers was a good fight! Anyway it is the end of the 'season', we'll see bigger regular sky shows from September or so. The quality of the regular sky shows in the past year or so have been good, people really do forget or weren't watching boxing in the pre-Hearn days, for all his faults Hearn is doing a great job.

Plenty of people will want to see Burns-Crolla, it certainly seems better than the possible alternatives. Flanagan losing his belt would make the Crolla-Flanagan fight even less likely to happen not more likely.

Davies exposed in this fight badly!

Garbage fighting stance leaves him uneven, chinny! was dropped by a jab that wasn't even stiff, a range finding jab! worst part is the jab staggered him but the ****** took a ****ing knee after a jab. Crouches and tries to use the philly shell defense but has no clue what he is doing. Most importantly, Davies has no jab he literally loads up on every punch and trys to look for a knockout. terrible fighter.

he ****ing quit after a punch dropped him, no ****ing heart wat a ***.

cant judge taylor cause his opponent was terrible.

I have no idea why so many people were high on Davies, or why this was generally considered a 50-50 fight. It was obvious from their previous fights that Taylor was faster, more fluid, and in general the far more seasoned boxer. Did Davies' 'swag' trick people into thinking he was legit?

Davies is crude, stiff, and his late start in the sport (began boxing at 17; only 17 amateur fights) has always been apparent. There has also been talk of him being a puncher, but his power hasn't been proven at much of a level; Scarpa wasn't hurt and Matthews had been stopped 9 times, was coming up in weight, and had nothing left.

From the time the fight was made I was confidently backing Taylor, though with so many going for Davies I began to wonder if I was overlooking something in OD; apparently not!

Josh absolutely battered OD.. It was a one sided schooling.

So.. does this qualify as a quit job? Davies just turned away mid fight like he didn't want to fight anymore.
