Comments Thread For: Josh Taylor Drops, Stops Ohara Davies in Seven Rounds

Just noticed it's this weekend? wth is there no promotion for this fight from Hearn?

After a brilliant start to the year, it's gone downhill in recent week's with 'lowblow gate' and then this weekend of corruption (golub v clark robbery & then 120-108 for easter jnr)

Finally we have a fantastic fight between two unbeaten prospects in the first 50/50 fight in a while.

Basic? Taylor is one of the most talented prospects in boxing, he's far more skilled than Ohara.

Davies carries more one punch power tho and could end the fight at any moment, which is why it's such a great 50/50 fight, can't pick a winner atm, slightly edging towards Taylor.

Yeah but he has the platform to promote it...it's not like it's on PPV or Boxnation is it? it's on free to air TV, Hearn always says ' we have to support free to air TV fights'

Guy is a hypocrite and a scumbag imo.

It's laughable that anybody can think Davies looks better than Taylor. You must be hard to please if you arnt convinced by Taylor considering he's dominated and stopped everybody he's faced with the exception of the awkward Mexican who he had a bit of trouble with due to trying too hard to knock him out and impress the US fans. Still an easy points win though. Davies on the other hand looked ordinary against Scarpa who is **** average. The Mathews win looked destructive but let's not look over the fact Mathews was shot to **** and fighting at a weight he'd never fought at before. Mathews was in his prime at featherweight ffs. Taylor is also the naturally bigger man being a big light welterweight while Davies started at I think lightweight. The size difference was clear at the face off.
Taylor has been breaking the ribs of bigger guys in sparring from what I read. Always been big talk of how great he is in sparring. Even looking good against Shawn Porter.

I like Josh to take a clear UD in this one. This fight reminds me a bit of BJS vs Eubank Jr
