That would be sad if an MMA fighter did more buys than Pacquiao.

    Pac-May was 4.4 million.

No way May-McGreggor tops that. It does under 3 million.

I'm gonna roll with 3.2 mil assuming SHOWTIME does a decent job of promoting this and Mayweather and McGregor get into some pre-fight shenanigans during the press tour(s).

But yeah, there's no way it surpasses Pac vs Floyd. People bought that fight because of the fight itself was huge. People are buying McGregor vs Floyd the "event", just so they can say they saw it.

There's a lot more additional fans from all kinds of MA backgrounds all over the world, it could do massive numbers, and it could not. Figure the highest UFC event and some of the higher boxing events and that might give some idea.

I've heard that UFC doesn't release the numbers, not sure if that's the case with McGregor though. I wonder what his highest PPV was. I would assume it was with the Diaz rematch.

Indeed the McGregor-Diaz rematch topped the UFC PPV record with a reported 1.65 million buys.

However the Mayweather-McGregor fight will attract many casual fans from both the Boxing and MMA side, so it would be interesting to see how many PPVs this actually sells.

Well any amount of buys would be more than what coWARD is able to bring in. That fraud had less than 7K in attendance while Pac just had like 50K.

Why are you always looking for any excuse to trash Pacquiao? His fight with Mayweather was years ago. Pacquiao made a huge amount of money for that fight. Why would he care if Conor's fight with Mayweather outsells his fight with Mayweather or not. If your looking for a slap in Pacquiao's face try the treatment he received in the great Brisbane robbery.
