Salido suffering from the Marquez syndrome. Time to cash out and get out the game, mate.

That would've been a really good test to see how Davis reacts to a tough in your face fighter.

Salido is past it at this point but yeah I agree, would be interesting to see how Davis handles a fighter like that

Even if Salido is close to the end, it would have at least been a good action fight on the undercard, and that is needed

You beat me to it. The talent pool at 130 is deep, so rather than looking to cash out, Salido could still make some honest money in matchups with Miguel Berchelt, Takashi Miura or Francisco Vargas for example.

He is a little bit past it but no one has yet to really show that by destroying him and showing him he's old and done. In the past 3 years, not Mikey, not Lomachenko, not Martinez, not Vargas. No one's really shown that. So it would've been interesting to see if Davis could've done that or if he would've fell victim to a dirty, gritty close fight.

salido was dropped in his last fight by a guy that was a late replacement to his original opponent. dude is done. people only wanna see him vs loma so vasyl gets the chance to redeem himself, but it wouldn't be better than marriaga in terms of boxing

Yea but HBO barely caring about boxing how much can he possibly make vs those guys? I guess it all depends on how much Floyd is offering him to fight Davis. But if Arum offered 700k for Loma and Salido chose Davis instead, that probably means Floyd is offering some good money. Just guessing here though.
