I really expect Conor to go HAM. I expect Floyd to dust off some of the old stuff and expect Conor to have a great comeback.

Might be the best pre fight hype since Ali took out the little toy gorilla and started punching it.

I think that needs to happen for them to break the PPV record again.
Idk about that brother. I think they could kiss each others ass during these pressers & be like two friendly dogs passing by each other in the park & this fight blows up PPV-wise.

I don't think it'll go down like that, but I'm just saying I think the mainstream no f#cks given about combat sports at all crowd is too invested in this fight for it not to do big numbers & probably beat PPV records unless they drop the ball huge or get some sorta scandal or something that breaks before the fight.

I mean we need murdered hookers in Conor's or Floyd's gym, some wikileaks documents or pedo charges to f#ck this up.

For sure it's gonna be a huge success, talk or no talk, no doubt about it, I was just referring to the Mayweather-Pacquiao record. Sometimes I think it will beat the record just because it's 2 sports and people from both will follow, but at the same time people were waiting for that fight for years and years and a lot of people thought Pacquiao would win, whereas hardly anyone thinks McGregor will win. Just because it's the biggest name in boxing vs the biggest name in MMA I think it will probably break the record though. People wanted to see Mayweather vs a UFC fighter for years I can remember it being talked about since like 2009.

I think you are looking at the wrong thing.

Hardcore boxing & MMA fans are probably good for 300k, 400k PPV buys for any particular fight more or less depending on how big or not so big the names are.

To get beyond that number you need casuals & sports fans to care about the fight. Maybe you get 800k, 1M+ buys depending on how appealing a fight looks to them.

And then when you appeal to people who don't even give a f#ck about boxing (or MMA in this case) you get into the 1.5M to 2M+ buys level. And this fight is on that level. The whole reason this fight got made is because of fans wanting it. How many fights have even been made off of social media more or less?

I mean look at the fights in this range in the past which represent the top ten combat sport PPV's of all time. Tell me this fight doesn't have more people that don't know sh^t about boxing or MMA than any of these ones below interested. Thats what I'm seeing anyway. At absolute worst this fight is #2 & I don't see how it doesn't hit #1 unless something crazy happens cuz its happening right on time with people wanting it unlike the current #1 fight.

          Floyd vs Manny, 2015, 4M+
          Floyd vs Oscar, 2007, 2M+
          Floyd vs Canelo, 2013 2M+
Tyson vs Holyfield II, 1997, 1.9M+
          Tyson vs Lennox, 2002, 1.9M+
Brock vs Frank Mir II, 2009, 1.6M+
Conor vs Diaz II, 2016, 1.6M+
          Tyson vs Holyfield I, 1996 1.5M+
          Tyson vs McNeeley, 1995 1.5M+
          Floyd vs Cotto, 2012 1.5M+

Surely McGregor will talk down Mayweather all throughout this tour, based on volume and "mouthspeed" alone. I know Mayweather has talked some trash in his day, but the Irish feller keeps yapping on and on without end. "Yew'll do nuttin'! Yew won't dew SHIH!!!", etc.

Will Mayweather's response be to just stay laid back, talk calmly and brag about his millions?
