exactly. This is the weakest opponent of all the guys that were mentioned and probably the worst fight style wise to watch.

Who else was mentioned? Munroe is actually the highest ranking WBO MW who hasn't got something lined up (if I heard right that Brant signed up for the WBSS) so I'm surprised this is classed as a voluntary - then again whoever wrote the article also thinks that Saunders is from Manchester, so...

I'm not actually sure there's many (or indeed any) better MWs who are available right now, and Monroe ain't terrible at all - although he was waaay too green for Golovkin at the time. You're right about the styles match-up though. This one has stinker written all over it... I suppose it's possible we could get something a bit more interesting if the Mongoose understands he'll have to step on the gas to have a hope of getting a decision in London, but honestly I ain't holding my breath for a FOTY.

EDIT: Fuckin lil Georgian gangster bastard Khurtsidze really fucked this one up, man. Now that was a fight I was looking forward to.

How can BJ team approve this fight? Very high risk, low reward fight. Monroe is a underrated fighter with good skills. Beating him will be tough and if you do beat him, won't really get a ton of credit for doing so.....I got Monroe winning a very long, boring fight.

Solid opponent for BJS. Monroe is underrated and he will take that belt if given a fair shake in the U.K.

I'm a Brit but BJS frustrates the hell out of me with his inactivity. I can see why it pisses people off. Hopefully he takes care of business here where he is at least against a semi decent opponent and then takes just a short break before a super fight against either Canelo or GGG.
