Can Mike Perez make cruiser ? Dude started to resemble Solis lately.
Mike Perez definitely had weight to lose judging by his body shape in his prior heavyweight fights. I'm rooting for him, dude was talented and had promise, before the Magomed fight

Well I'll be damned, they actually look on the verge of pulling this whole thing off.

Let's see what the matchups end up being.

Because of Eddie Hearn and the UK market which is the 2nd biggest in the world. Perez is signed with Hearn and he will fight on Sky Sports in the UK. Much bigger audience than somewhere in Eastern Europe. Plus Sky Sports offers additionally money to the fighters.

No benevidez or Eubanks = zero interest in the super middle tourny
Brant is an undefeated MW prospect, trained under Derrick James, and gymmate with Errol Spence Jr. and Jermell Charlo, the dude is surrounded with top class training.

Never seen him fight so I can't tell if he's the goods or is just hype.

BTW: I'm on the hypewagon of Benavidez too, I think the kid is gonna be the boggeyman of the 168's but as far as I know he might get a fight for the WBC title next considering Smith abandoned that Dirrel title fight.

At first I thought this tournament was set up for failura but the thing is shaping up very nice with top fighters.

I'm watching this tournament for sure.

The 168 lb. tournament is full of undefeated prospects. Cox, Skoglund, Smith, Yildirim, Brant. Will be interesting to see who emerges.
The 168 tournament is actually harder to predict, despite featuring lesser names. Groves and Smith will probably start as the favourites to reach the final but they're both flawed and not above being upset. Cox and Skoglund are not very good though imo. I very strongly doubt that either of them make it out of the first round
