Mayweather responded to Maidana's fouls like a fighter should, he didn't crumble to the canvass, as a matter of fact he started attacking Maidanas body to slow that nonsense down. Make the guy that's fouling pay, simple as that

Viva Barrera! It's a done deal but it's good to hear somebody tell it like it is. We know Ward will do anything he can get away with in the ring.
Weeks allowed him to hit low and that set up everything, including the right hand (probably the best punch of Ward's career).
That's pro boxing in the US and Kovalev should have expected low blows and had an answer for them.
Hindsight is 20/20 but this is Ward, so not being prepared for fouls was just ******.

No one is debating the rest responsibilities. Most of Wards body blows were like jersey holding in soccer and pass interference in American football. Each referee calls it differently. Most elite athletes find the line that the refs set for fouls and use it to their advantage.

This was not intentional at all, this was a body shot. However if it would have landed low, and hurt Ward down there, I would have no problem with him taking a few moments off to recuperate and catch his breath.

However Ward was intentionally throwing borderline and several were hitting low, and Kovalev was not able to get a break, and that was terrible.

Here is the same shot from HBO angle:

As Ward was coming forward head low and head first, Kovalev jumped backwards and threw a shot towards the body... So this only pic of what seems to be that is actually just an illusion from this angle...
Notice the elbow that Ward throws at the end of that sequence?

if it was me I would have gotten a ******* and shot Ward's balls off.

I just think Kovalev is classier than me.

looks more like he jabs and hits kovs chest since the elbow doesnt connect

If you are Kovalev you freeze, his whole career froze because he took his only style for granted.

people just regurgitate this like it is
                      A: disputed
                      B: it matters.

yes, ward had kovalev figured out and was the better fighter. looked like a stoppage was likely and that kovalev was tiring. but that doesn't f#cking matter! it doesn't f#cking matter! the fight was stopped on a low blow and a hearing in nevada is going to acknowledge that. i don't expect the decision to be overturned, and the right guy won teh fight, but FFS don't tell me that a blow that clearly as day lands low is not a low blow and expect me to to anyting other than laugh at you when you post on bscene.
